    What a relief
Jason of RedPython posted a thread a while back of a guy who was surviving an ice storm.

I've thought about it ever since....

I found a deal on a brand new one off Craigslist.

Louder than crap and I'm happy as hell:D

I've always worried about what would happen during an outage. Granted it's not a home standby, it'll do for now.

The relief I feel is awesome.

You guys need to get one if you don't already!

I had one almost exactly like it. I sold it a few years back when I was in a pinch. I really should get another one. I'm thinking of going natural gas this time and hard piping it in my garage.

I'd like to convert this one over to Propane. I guess they make conversion kits for them to do it.

We don't have natural gas in my place, all electric.

Did it hold up okay when you had it?

Never used it. We haven't had a power outage in years, other that the occasional hiccup. I've woke up to the clocks blinking a few times, but other than that, no problems. I've got more money invested in reptiles now and more meat in the freezer now that I have been buying half a cow at a time, so lately I've been thinking it might be a good investment .
