Fed her for the first time on Friday and it took her about 5 minutes to come out and play, but this time I dropped the mouse in and she didn't waste any time at all! Good things, good things.

Wow my little vanilla female has decided she wont eat anything OTHER than rat pups. Big one with eyes open too! And she is no where near that size.
I think it depends on the snake. As long as they can get it down rather quickly it can be a tad bigger than they are. It took me weeks to get this little girl eating and it was all because everything I offered her was too small for her taste.
