Showcase Cages - Adhesive for Flexwatt??!?!?
Sooo, today I've torn apart the snake room and am rearranging to move the bloods up to their adult enclosures.
I found a great deal on three Showcase cages, so I bought them.
Well, they've been sitting there for a few months, since I didn't have any flexwatt and it wasn't critical to put the cages in service.
I've got my flex all wired up, freed up the appropriate stats, and ready to get them all set up....NOTHING STICKS TO THE ENCLOSURE.
I've tried electrical tape, masking tape, and yes EVEN ALUMINUM TAPE does not stick to the enclosure.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm sooo totally frustrated right now, if I knew attaching flex was going to be such a boondogle I wouldn't have bought them in the first place.

have you tried silicone? the high heat stuff wouldnt be effected by the heat at all and should stick to almost anything

if your surface is a high gloss, try sanding the area and try some
aluminum tape again. How about hot glue?

I did the sanding trick already. It's something about the type of plastic the enclosures are made of.
I ran out and bought some duct tape, amazingly it BARELY sticks, but I think I can get it "stuck" enough, and loaded up enough with tape that once laid down and it has some pressure on the tape it will stay put.

Good suggestion, if all else fails (including my sad breakthrough with the duct tape) i'll give it a try.
Thank you.
