    1st Escape!
I haven't posted in a while, just been a lurker....:)

My female Ball "Lucille" got out last night out of her end of the aquarium for the 1st time. I easily found her hiding in the closet and put her back home.

She got out, because she has grown so much since I first got her. The top of the aquarium lids are held down by a few velcro strips. She's big enough to obviously push and force her way out now.

I Have since changed the aquaium top frame and the lids by adding more velcro in stategic spots....I have to laugh really, the little buggers really do try to escape.

    Lesson learned!

I'd suggest something other than velcro! If she got strong enough to break out once, you know that she'll keep growing and very well may do it again.

At least put some weight on top to hold the top down as added pressure.

Glad to hear you found her! My pastel tried making an escape while I was cleaning today. I walked back into the room to see a tail slithering over the edge of the tub. Sneaky sneaky :colbert:

the more you open and close her tank, the more the velcro wears out, plus the larger she gets the stronger she gets. use weights or clips, the next time you may not be as lucky in finding her.

Wow you were lucky you found her so quickly! This is something that I am hoping never happens to us. Ok...gotta go knock on wood now...
