constant in temp and humidity?
do the wet grasslands of west africa remain as constant in temp and humidity as our setups do?
Re: constant in temp and humidity?
Only once they get their herpstat dialed in.
Seriously tho, of course not. I dont think anywhere in the world has a constant temperature 24 hours a day (or 12/12 etc). If you mean consistent, then I would still say no. Temperatures fluctuate within a certain margin every year.
Re: constant in temp and humidity?
guess i was trying to make a point. ive never been as constant or consistent as most on here and ive had happy healthy snakes for over 20 years...
Re: constant in temp and humidity?
There are obviously minimums and maximums as far as temps / hum goes for proper care. If kept within that range then there shouldnt be any problems.
Re: constant in temp and humidity?
doing my best to get there now but just wondering out loud...
Re: constant in temp and humidity?
That is why they live longer in captivity! All you can do is try your best to maintain temps and humidity! Everyones temps and humidity goes up and down a little!
Re: constant in temp and humidity?
you guys are great and very helpful. thank you...

For what it is worth, I received my copy of "The Complete Ball Python" by Kevin McCurley of NERD. In it he discusses the ball pythons "exist in tropical arid conditions and live within temperature extremes of 60F to 110F."
