...I emailed as fast as I could type and today received this response:

Thank you for responding to our "Free Albino Ball Python" post on Craig's List.

We are giving away a Free Yearling Albino Ball Python on January 3rd, 2010
at the Indiana Reptile Expo. Everyone who comes will be given a ticket. At
4 pm a ticket will be drawn, and who ever has that number will go home with
the yearling Albino Ball Python. A value of $500!

...Should have known it was too good to be true.

i duno.. its not like they're lying or anything. You pay show admission, and get to receive an AWESOME door prize if its something you want. * shrug *

Actually, I attended Ron's last show and they gave away a BP....I believe it was an albino as well. This is called creative marketing...and it WORK'S!!! If your around the area you should stop by the show on the 3rd!!

They gave away an albino BP at the Steel City's first show nearby. I think it's a good deal. You get a ticket for your admission price you'd be paying anyways, and you could win a nice snake off it. Pretty cool idea I think.

Haha, that's too good. I would have been mad but it was good (free) marketing I guess. lol. I'm gonna go check craigslist...

Not bad marketing strategies but I would have been sooo irritated. I have found some great things on craigslist, a free Argentine Black and White Tegu, a Dumeril's Boa for $50, a Brazilian Rainbow Boa for $50 (she had mites but I still had Provent a Mite so got her cage treated before we got her home), then 6' cages for $60, a 75 gallon tempered glass aquarium with a screen lid for $30, a couple ten gallons for $5 each...I always surf craigslist, never know what will pop up that's a really great deal.
