My new guy

I just got my new boa at the white plains expo in november along with a hognose. These are my first snakes :) He is soooo cute and friendly. I was told he is a central american and I'm kind of leaning towards a nic but i'm not positive. If you might have an idea, let me know. So far he is a verrryyyy enthusiastic eater. Within seconds of getting a large fuzzy/small hopper in front of him, he's grabbed and coiled it already :D Any advice for a newbie like myself? My friend has a few of these already (among many other snakes) but the more I learn the better. Thanks! Here's some pics of him.

Nice I have 4 of those little guys. Well not soo little anymore. They are growing like weeds. I love how they have changed in color they were soo dark as babies now they are all so different from each other. Ranging from bright red/pinks, to almost anery looking. Very cool little snakes.

Congratulations on the excellent choices! All I can suggest is spend your spare time reading the forums on boas and husbandry, pick out a reptile vet in your area in advance of an emergency. And don't believe everything everyone says (even from the pros); sometimes people mean well, but talk beyond their scope of knowledge or speak from a limited scope of experience.

my only suggestion is to handle the boa a bunch (not right after feeding of course!) if hes really friendly now then you want that to continue. I have a lil nic (was told he was central american-) when we first got him he was a lil fiesty and also when he sheds he is not a happy camper, but i think thats mostly due to the fact that his previous owner didn't handle him too much-
