Just wonderin??

What would you suggest for a new reptile enthusiest? I have already fallen in love with my Ball Python and hes at the point of easy care and I just was wondering what is a simple lizard that does not cost a ton to take care of?

my honest opinion is the crested gecko.

What do you mean by cost? Time? Money? Space? All the above?

Does size matter? Entertainment value? Display purposes? Something you can sit and watch TV with?

Leo Geckos are pretty easy to care for. Not a lot of space needed, feeding cost is fairly low, and tend to be fairly clean (tend to poo in one corner).

Yep. I agree. Cresteds are so easy and inexpensive to care for. They're nocturnal, so they don't require any UV or heat lamps. They tolerate room temps (lower to mid-70s) quite well.

We have ours in a 20 gallon (upright) aquarium with a screen top (more like a screen wall because it's upright) that has a screen door. We have moist moss as a substrate and ExoTerra jungle vine and ivy suctioned along the sides of the glass.

They eat Repashy crested gecko diet, occasional bananas, and crickets. The enclosure needs to be misted a couple times a day to keep the humidity up, and the only drawback is that they hide in the ivy during the day.

But they sure are cute.

Geckos in general are easy to take care of, And so are Bearded dragons, The Beardie are one of the most popular lizards out their and have a lot of stuff made for them. I prefer Uromastyx's but require a basking spot of 110 to 130 and that can be a chore in itself.

IMHO beardies is not a beginner lizzard. they have specific requirements with the higher temps,light cycle,uvb and so on.

Your best off with crested or leopard geckos as they both do not require special lighting and are cheap to feed and care for.
