Re: euthenesia of feeders
I don't know what is in that dust off stuff. I know they pulled it or something similar off the shelves at one of the local stores around here because high school kids were misusing it. It seems to me like a bad idea to try on rats.
Strange that you can't get dry ice. My local Walmart carries dry ice.
Do you have home-brew beer supplies stores or welding supply stores around where you are? Either of those should have co2 canisters for sale. Some indoor gardening shops carry them also. I'm not sure if you have any of those things in Canada, but if you do, I would try those places for a co2 tank first.
Re: euthenesia of feeders
they pulled c02 dispensers/carts off the shelves here too because of people misusing them, yet they're still widely used for euthanesia, so i have no idea.
also, up here in canada dry ice is very, VERY hard to find. i've even asked science teachers if they know of anywhere to get it and the all came up with nothin.'
interesting about the Dust Off though, i also have no idea what they put in it but i just know i've heard that when you go to blow dust out of your keyboard and stuff it expresses c02.
Re: euthenesia of feeders
Hi,
I thought you could get co2 from paintball stores?

Re: euthenesia of feeders
Go to Canadian Tire, I'm sure they refill CO2 canisters for paintball guns.
Re: euthenesia of feeders
hmmm thanks, i never thought about cantire!
and yeah i'm sure a paintball store would help me out, but we don't have one around here. it would cost me about $30 in transit fees to get to a paintball store. so maybe i'll check out Canadian Tire next time i get up that way. i just hope it's not the same story as our local save-on foods. i guess kids were buying the dispensers and inhaling the c02 to get high or something. doesn't sound very smart to me! so they don't sell them AT ALL anymore!
