No problem, She was 3,500 before we started breeding her she is now up to 4,000 grams hopefully she will go this year, we have had 3,000 gram girls lay only 8 eggs, so its really genetics.:gj:
Re: How many Eggs in your girl's clutch
I had a 3500gm girl lay 1000grams of eggs (10eggs) in 06 and this year she was 3800gm and layed 900 grams of eggs (11 eggs)
Re: How many Eggs in your girl's clutch
I have had clutches for 11 eggs to 4 eggs..so it just varies
Re: How many Eggs in your girl's clutch
I only had 4 lay last season, but had 5,6,10, and 11 egg clutches. The 10 egg clutch girl lays 9+ as a rule and was not bred till she was 8 years old and 3500g.
The 11 egg clutch was just a normal regular sized female. Bred the year prior, took a year off, and then went last year. We were really not expecting such a big clutch from her.

Re: How many Eggs in your girl's clutch
Are you including slugs in the poll or just viable eggs?
Re: How many Eggs in your girl's clutch
I think it's a good idea to include slugs and infertiles, as they COULD have been fertile--the female still produced the eggs, even if they weren't all fertilized properly.
Re: How many Eggs in your girl's clutch
i have a 4800g virgin thats about 16yrs old. im hoping for huge clutchs out of her but from what i hear it just depends on the genes:)
