    Rack Idea
Today I was in K-Mart and found this tubs. They are completely closed in the back and lateral sides. My mind rapidly jump in the conclusion that this tubs could be used to make a wonderful cheap rack for leopard geckos or baby ball pythons. Any of you guy already use them?

That is exactly what I thought when I saw those particular tubs. The only reason I didn't pick up those ones were that they don't have a super tight seal along that top front edge so I would be afraid of a smaller snake managing to squeeze and push just enough to get out. Although it probably wouldn't be too hard to fashion a simple latch or something to keep it closed up nice and tight.

Just build your rack to the height of the enclosures. Leave no more than a 1/4 inch between the top of the enclosure and the bottom of the shelf above. I personally like to build my racks with about an 1/8 inch gap but I would think that a 1/4" gap is fine.

Almost broke by RTB's back opening one of those when I tried it. There is a gap they can get into at the top and perch inside... Very unsafe without lots of modification

Yes, I think that for Leos is okay. But for Ball Pythons is another story. They are escape masters and this tubs are not strong enough. :colbert: Thanks guys for your recommendations. :gj:
