    12 inch high cages????
Does anyone here use 12 inch high cages? Animal plastics has added a new four footer to there line and its only 150 and Im thinking about picking a few up but Ive never used a cage with that low of height before. I would be able to stack them higher since the height is lower and you cant beat 150 bucks but I was wondering if anyone else uses 12 inch cages and how they like them?

I just got two 4x2x1 cages from repti-racks and i love them. I have my ball python in one and my SD retic in the other. The awsome thing is without the extra height, its easier to heat. And my snakes dont need the vertical space. But if your looking for some awsome cages, deffinetly look at repti-racks. 139 for a 4 footer is the best deal you can get. And the customer service is amazing. I usually get a reply without 15 minutes. And they have a 6 tub rack that fits as a stand that is perfect for the 4 footers.

Boaphile 421D's are real popular with some of the Blood Python crowd and they're only 11 inches tall and they work out perfect.

I think 11 or 12 inches is about as small as I'd wanna go though.

Would be tough wrestling out a stubborn animal even more difficult. Not to mention making cleaning the cage all the more crummier.

I feel like the sliding doors would frustrate me. I like how i have feel access to the cage very easily. But they are great cages.

RBI has a 4 x 2 x 1 with a single swing down door now that makes it nice to get in and out of.I like it a lot more than the double doors.

Probably because you are keeping smaller species of snake...If you had a decent sized hungry burm/retic/etc. that you needed to feed, you wouldnt want to give him all that swing door space to come out at you lol... With a sliding glass door, you can open the little space you need to get a rat in there and close it.
