different size feeding??

So ive been feeding my Pastel Female adult f/t mice for a while now, and i want to switch to small rats but the small rats are still a bit big for her... So i got some rat pubs and they just dont look big enough for her.. IM going to feed tonight and see if it has any type of bulge in her. The one pub is a deacent size but i have to feed that to my boa and the other is quite small.... The small rats are too big so should i just stick to feeding her rat pubs and hope i get a couple deacent size rat pubs or do i stick to adult mice... I dont want her getting used to mice but the pubs look so small... Should i feed more then i normally do which is every 5 to 6 days and feed her every 3 to 4 days but feed her rat pubs until she can handle a small rat.... Any advice thanks

how old and big is your BP? if you think the rat is two small try feeding it more then one. if your BP has never had a rat you might have to entice it by getting the mouses scent on it and possibly feed it a mouse first then the scented rat.

Can't you find any larger rats than the pus(not pubs;))? Usually you can find different sizes. Keep looking for some a leeetle larger.

It sounds like what you need are weaned rats. Bigger than a rat pup smaller than a small rat.

Im going to to order some weaned rats tonight.. She at the pub no problem left a small bulge but i think a weaned rat would be perfect anyone know ordering from rodentpro.com is and how their product is thanks. Also does anyone know if they come frozen or alive thanks I would prefer frozen thanks again

Look for rat crawlers . larger than a pup and smaller then a small and they crawl :gj: ~ 30 - 40 grams

I ordered from rodentpro last year they were pretty clean and packaged OK. I started to breed my own though so I dont buy from anyone anymore.

weaner rat.... I will be ordering from rodent pro in the near future.... my friend that i buy ft from at the moment gets hers from them cant complain, some poo in with em but thats kinda expected

A rat pub is a place rats go to unwind after a long day's work ratting about before going back to the rat family. Rat pus, well, gross... :rofl:
