    Yeah, it is fine to use the small animal aspen instead of the snake aspen. The only difference is the way it is cut.

    I liked the shredded aspen but it take 4 of the largest bags to do the snake cages for me ( 23 snakes now) I been looking at the aspen sani chips but I can't find it locally. I not sure how many bags it take t odo my tubs. ( thinkym current aspen in either 4 or 9 compressed cubic ft bags and that last me a month or 2 but it so dusty and had large chunchs at times thati don't like it .
