problem with my spider bp. help!
last year i breed my spider ball python to my normal female. and every thing went great. but then i noticed that my spider ball python had some skin that had swelled around the anal scut. it is not prolapsed rectum. i have no idea what it is. in all the snake breeding i have done i have never seen anything like this before.

Have you had your vet check him out? What sort of bedding do you keep him on? Breeding males kept on aspen or other loose substrate sometimes get bedding stuck in their vent that irritates and infects that area.
