I just got one of these today, along with a new UTH and Ceramic heat emitter...the emitter is always running, and the UTH is running off the Zilla thermostat, I dont like how it shuts down the UTH, I have it set at about 88* because by the time it shuts off my digital thermometer is reading about 93.3* and it drops to abut 86.7* before it comes back on, thats a 7* degree rise and drop over and over, all day long. It only stays on for a few minutes at a time, it warms up fairly fast but takes longer to come back on. It works like it should, but I dont like the big range of constant temp differences.
Sounds to me like a dimmer would be a better idea, so its always on the same temp, no on and off....cool / hot.
