BAH-1000SC thermostat?

Has anyone used big apple herp's BAH 1000SC thermostat. The description on the website sounds pretty good and its seems to basically the same thing as a rancos or johson's thermostat just without the digital readout. Anyone got anything to say about these?

Its kind of junky and I have heard of it failing on many occasions. You are better off with a ranco or johnsons.

I would also like some more feedback on these. I ordered one for a rack I'm building and would like to know if I need to get something else and just use this as a backup one.

I would personally not use this ever with a rack system. I don't trust it. If you are going to get a rack, get a good thermostat. With that many animals in one place you shouldn't skimp on keeping them safe. Get a better thermostat than the BAH-1000SC.

I have one that looks identical but its made by CA. I've used it for almost a year and it keeps temps pretty consistent. If you got the money get a herpstat or helix but this one will get the job done.
