she got me & shed ??

so tonight i was soaking my female because she had a little shed left on her head from 2 weeks ago and i wanted to get if off well when i was done i was hoding her and she was crawling around then stopped and took a big POO right in my lap it was pretty nasty. ok so she shed like 2 weeks ago or so and she looks like she is gonna shed again soon her eyes are blue and she is a little dull can she shed again this soon? she eats once a week a weaned rat she is about 2 foot long and 3 inches around.

Congratulations on your little present. It's such a bonding experience. As for the shedding. There have been people post about this before, so it's not completely uncommon. Really, the only thing I can think of that causes it is a growth spurt. Hopefully some of those who have experience with this will jump in...

If you aren't already doing it, it is a good idea to keep accurate records of your snakes feeding, defecation, shed and growth rates. That way you can have a clearer picture of your snakes tendencies and habits.

i ask because she normally sheds once a month but i just changed her over from mice to rats and they are considerably larger than the mice she was eating. i am just wondering if she is gonna shed again or if she is getting sick nothing other than the rats has changed in ver six months

I wouldn't really be too concerned yet, especially if you recently increased her food size. IF she keeps doing it repeatedly within a week or two of each other, then it might time to look for other causes. That's why it important track all of that stuff...

i've been crapped on by all my animals, mabye that says somthing bout me, lol, but after i started keeping better records i never had that problem again

It's a simple rite of passage. Your snake feels comfortable enough in your lap to do this nasty deed.

An increase in meal size will cause a growth spur sometimes, hence the constant shed. It should go back to normal after a few sheds. Take some pictures of your BP, you will notice the difference later ;)

thanks guys i just wondered if it was possible to shed that much i just want to make sure she is healthy if her body hadnt dulled out too i would have been real worried about her eyes being blue and cloudy then
