Active Ball problem

I have a question for you guys. I recently built a rack and put my balls into it i would say about a month ago and my females are doing fine but my male is like really active at wierd hours( like when i get up at 10am-on weekends- and when i come home at 3pm and when im abut to go to sleep at 10pm. He started going off feed sort of like he will eat every other week it seems im not really sure if he is sick or what . All of them are 09's i currently have a 5 month old normal female, 3 month old spider female, and i think the pastel male is 6-7 months old. The females are eating fine and are acting pretty normal its just the male. Any ideas on whats going on would be of great help :D

It's Winter, snakes naturally brumate. Males will get ancy if they smell females, and males can breed young, as low as 350 grams, so even small ones will be active and go off of feed. Even if they are not ready to breed, snakes go off food around Aug/Sept/Nov naturally.

oh really i was thinking maybe because its winter that he was looking for one of the females but i just wanted to make sure hes not like sick. Well thanks alot for the info :D.

Naw, unless he's showing signs of an RI, i.e bubbling, coughing, or has worms (He would of been regurging for you) then he's just fine. Signs of sickness tend to be very obvious, and if he is still eating atleast on and off for you, all if it is the hibernation and the want to breed with the girls he smells. My boys even do it if the females are in a completely different room!

Well Ball Pythons don't brumate, but since its winter and temps are varying more, he is thinking its breeding time.

I havent seen anything really wrong with like bubbling or any other types of infections. He hasnt regurged either so yea i guess its alright lol
