    Flexwatt Tape
Ok so I was thinking of using flexwatt for my tub setup and was wondering if i just need one piece of 4", hook 2 pcs. of 4" side by side or use one 11" piece and cut it to size. half of the tub measures 13"x8"(yes it will be hooked up to a Ranco thermostat). I'm new in the flexwatt area so any help would be geat thanks.

hmm well you cant cut the heattape except for every foot, so if you order 11" then its gunna be 11"X12" at least.

on my rack i have only 3" on each tub, even on the big female.. i may add another strip next to it but i dont know yet.

    i wonder if i should?

I would just get the 4 inch and put it along the long side of the tub.

If I remember correctly the 3' and 4' you can cut to any length as long as you cut it on the plastic. The larger 11'' you should cut by the foot along the line where it says it cut it. For a single tub 3' or 4' along one side should be plenty.

The newer flexwatt can be cut any where in-between the lines now, just like the 3 and 4 inch.

It really depends on the ambient temp of the room.........if the room is warm then smaller tape is appropriate, if the room is cooler then you may want to consider the wider, shouldn't be more than 1/3 of the length of the tub.
