Can multiple males sire one clutch?

Ok, since joining here I've noticed some people breed more than one male to a female. This led me to wonder, can more than one male father a clutch?

As an example: Suppose you bred both a Cinnamon male and a Yellowbelly male to a Normal female. Could you get both Cinnamons and Yellowbellies in her clutch along with the normals?

Or is it going to be only one or the other and people just breed multiple males because they'd be happy with the outcome no matter who daddy was?

It happens all the time people some times have up to 4 males sire one clutch.

Yes, but I don't know much more than the fact that it happens!

I've got one girl that has hooked up with black pastel, yellow belly and spider.

Maybe a cocktail of babies, maybe not, time will tell :)

Also we have a girl this year that we are breeding to all of our Co-doms:Bumblebee, Spinner, Fire, Champagne, Lesser, Super Mojave, Sable, Cinny Het Ghost, Pewter and a few others! Should be interesting.

im not speaking from experience but i've been told that the female can hold sperm from multiple males and any one of them can reach the egg as long as their viable. ( i think i worded that right )
sometimes it can make it tough to figure out what you have. for example, if you breed a male pastel and a male hypo to a normal female and end up with two pastel babies and four normal babies; how do you justify calling the normal looking ones possible hets for hypo even though they just might be?

Yes, and each egg can have a different father.

The issue with this is when you have an undetermined parent. This is fine if your female is a recessive morph or the maless are all dom/co-dom, a HUGE issue occurs when you have an unknown father, caused by him having a recessive trait. You cant tell which of the normals/same as mother morphs are het for that trait.

I would not throw recessive into a cocktail snake, the exception being a co-dom recessive or co-dom het.
My black pastel male is also 100% het hypo so any black pastel females I make will be held back and I will try to prove them to be hets eventually.
The normals will be sold as normals whether they have a 50% chance of being het or not.
I am using a co-dom, a co-dom het hypo and a spider so any normals will be just normals(IMO)

Your avi pic is eerie. :)

I had a clutch sired by three males this year, it was a first for me. I was trying to get different pied hets so I bred my bumblebee, pewter, lesser and pied to my pied females. One clutch contained pastels, lessers and a pied. Fun stuff!!
