    She's so close!
I'm breeding two females this season. I have Akina, who is around 1800g right now breeding with my pastel male. Sadis, another normal female is sitting at 1280g. She's an '07. Would it be ok to bump up her feeding frequency to every 5 days for the breeding season? She only has 220g before she hits the 1500g goal weight for this season. She's currently on small rats. Of course the small rats the store sells me are averaging around 60g each. Could I be feeding her two or get the next size up? The other normal female, Shane, is sitting at almost 1100g. I'm not sure if I'm going to breed her or not this season.

My 1300 gram black pastel female eats 100 to 150 gram rats with no problems.

You might not get the growth spurt your looking for with 60 gram rats.

I'd either bump up to every 5 days or bump up the size to mediums around 100 grams if they are available.

1100 grams may make it late in the season, but only with good growth.

Good luck with your pairings :)
