    Habba Mister
Does anyone used Zoo Med's Habba Mister? How well does it work? Does it flood terrariums?
I mist my tanks twice a day but my pastel's cage loses humidity extremely fast. I don't use a heat lamp and I've covered about 60% of the screen cover with a plastic bag. The tank is a 25 gallon tall.
I think I'm going to put him in one of my bins until i get a habba mister or find another way to keep the humidity from escaping. Plastic bins never fail me.

well for the glass aqauriums i have my snakes in at the present moment i just spray it down with a squirt bottle i picked up from walmart for no more than a few bucks if that. and as for covering the top i just place a towel over it with just a small part of the edge uncovered for ventilation. i spray the cages once a day and everything has been going fine for me in the past few months.

I think putting a mister in a ball python enclosure is over kill. Those are meant for amphibians and reptiles that require high humidity.

I would get some aluminum tape and cover 75% of the screen top with it.

Also, I don't think a 25g tall is very practical for a ball python. You are better off with a 20g long.

Why don't you just keep the snake in a tub if you are having issues with humidity?

I know the tank isn't the best but it was free. and yeah, for now he's in a tub. I'm building him a wood enclosure today. as for the habba mist, it has a timer. you can set it to how long it sprays and how often. I think maybe 5 sec of mist every 6 hours should be good.

I like displaying my reptiles so if i need to buy one to keep the humidity up, I will.

There are other ways to get the humidity up without using a mister though. It really is just over kill for an animal that need %50 humidity.

If you have any lamps, that will also bring down the humidity considerably.

Cover the top with aluminum tape and mist once a day and that should be plenty.
