Longest lock??

So.... I put Toby in with Nerissa on Wednesday evening (around 10-11pm), and it's now 3:50pm on Friday - and they are still locked!! :O I was just wondering if this is unusually long, since he only stayed locked for ~24 hours with Mona each time. Anyone have a longer one they've witnessed? I guess he just really likes this girl, LOL. :oops:

Thats totally normal. In my experience older experienced males lock for longer periods as opposed to younger rookies. I have had first yea rmale breeders that I never witnessed locking but yet have fathered eggs then the following years they lock for days.

I would imagine the female also has a say in how long they remain locked;)
