    gift suggestions?
So I have to get both xmas and birthday gifts for my gf this december, and we've been together long enough it's getting really difficult to come up with ideas!!

I'm trying my very best to think of what she'd want without actually asking her, though I may ask for some advice on her end eventually.

Anyhoo, if you were looking to get something for someone who likes to cook, what would you get?

I almost was intrigued by a bread machine or an ice cream maker, but I don't want it to seem like I just picked some random gadget off of skymall..lol..

I think an apron and toque would be really cool =D even though she might not actually use it often. and an easy bake oven!

Does she have a really nice set of pots and pans - like chef quality? You could buy her one piece at a time if a set is too expensive, so each birthday/Christmas you can continue to add to, to complete her set.

How about a really nice chef quality knife set?

I asked Karl last year for a high quality non-stick skillet (not one that has non-stick that peels with use), and that pan has to be my favorite - I baby it. It doesn't go in the dishwasher, it's hand washed, and he knows that he will die if he ever uses a metal utensil in it! LOL

This is the Rolls Royce of kitchen mixers: http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/category/224

Look at all the accessories too! Pasta roller set, ravioli maker, ICE CREAM maker! LOL

Actually - get the Kitchen Aid, and you've got gift giving ideas for years to come with all the accessories to expand what you can do with it! LOL

I LOVE my Kitchen Aid mixer! I refer to it now as my "big-a$$ mixer", the thing will do anything, it really is a powerhouse and comes in soooo handy.
