I need help with my heating.
    Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the heating in my room. My apartment is really old and doesn't have any insulation in the walls. So, when I run the heater the heat just escapes. I've put plastic on my window to try and help and I'm working on buying foam boards to put on the wall to help retain some of the heat.:(

Ok, so here is my question. How can I get the ambient air for my snake up without killing my wallet trying to run the heater all the time?

I have 2 UTHs for her (the main one at 93degrees and a small one at 86degrees for the cool side) and I have covered the sides of the tub. If I don't keep the heater running the ambient air is about 68degrees.

    Should I do?

I would just get a CHE at that point. If you can't keep the temps up with two UTHs then you need some kind of over head heating.

Get a small wattage CHE or red bulb and see if that helps. Foam board on the back and sides of the snakes tank will help a bit.

Ok. Thanks for the suggestion:). I'll go and look for a CHE today (japan time)

I love my snake, but I was worried that I might not be able to afford her if I have to keep the heater running 24/7.
