    how long will a burm or tick be able to stay in a 8'x3'x2'!! i cant find a good source for a cage size to be able to buildmy own cage!:confused:

    Might I suggest that you also post your question on MonsterSnakeForum.com, since the majority of those members own large snakes and could probably direct you pretty well also.

    it all depends on the keeper. Some keepers believe a burm or retic could live in a 8 footer there whole life others will disagree and say they need larger.

    i personally own both. i keep them in a cage at least half the length of their overall. but i try not to get too much larger then they are as they grow. too large of an enclosure makes them nervous. if i had a 8'x3'x2' enclosure i would make sure my snake is at least 10ft to 20ft. with my more nervous retics i sometimes keep them in a cage a little smaller so they feel more secure. usually they calm down quite quickly, and then i can move them into larger more suitable environments for breeding.

    ok that sound good then im planning to build a snake room in my garage that will be about 10'4" x 13' and want to put 4 big enclosures on the back wall with 4 arboreal 2'x2'x2' on the side of them to fill the 10' wall

    your 8'x3'x2' should be good till abotu 15-18ft then id add another 2ft all around
