Hide boxes for sub adult-adult balls
What are you guys using for your hide boxes for sub adults and adults. They are gonna be in a rack system so I was just curious what everyone uses for them

I use the half sized cat little pans from wallmart. They are only a couple bucks a piece and they are the perfect size.

Mona (2200g) has an XL Exo-terra cave, which is WAY too small for her... but she loves squeezing in there, and got really irritated when I tried to upgrade her. Nerissa (1900g) has a cardboard box right now, since I ruined her small litter pan hide. As for the sub-adults, they have either XL or large Exo-terra caves like Mona's.

I don't use them for most of my ball pythons; although, all of my ball pythons are in rack systems. The ones that do require them get the cheap black plastic hides.

My old roomate used to love suppliments.

He brought home this massive black container of protein powder one time. When he was done, I just cut it in half, washed it out thoroughly, dulled the cut edged and voi-la! Two perfectly identical, large hides!

I don't use hides with racks except for hatchlings until they get established. If they want to hide they will go under the paper.

I've been wondering if the hide i'm using for my ball is a good one. If I posted pics could you guys give me you opinion? It's like a square, wooden, tissue box I got from Michaels Craft Store

I find hides arent really necessary in racks. (provided the snakes are in appropriately sized tubs)
