    Bad Shed or?
Hey everyone, I am pretty new to the site and had a question that I was hoping someone could answer. Ok well I purchased an 09 female super pastel who is gorgeous btw(will be posting pics soon). She has been eating fine for the past month since I got her and about a week ago I noticed she was going into a shed cycle, so I uped the humidity a little. The temps are fine, as well as humidity. She has fresh water every 2-4 days, and has not refused a meal yet. I took a look at her this morning and she made a mess. When I went to remove her for cleaning she felt sooooo dry and looked liked she was 90 years old (all wrinckly skin) and looked so dehydrated. But my mind was boggled because there is nothing wrong with the husbandry and this is the first time this has happend to one of my BP's:confused:. I wish I could post pics but the camera is down right now so I am trying to exlpain it as best I can. I am wondering if thats how she is going to shed but it is kinda worrying me. Like her skin feel really dry and looks like it to(like she was left in the sun all week) btw I use heat cable so it is not a light bulb problem. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any help would be appreciated.:please:

Perhaps we'll get a better idea once you post a picture--

What are the temps and humidity levels exactly?

If she's wrinkly, as in towel-dress shirt-old person wrinkly, that doesn't sound right.

They get much duller while in the shed cycle though, so is the dullness what you're describing when you say "left in the sun all week?"

Just keep her humidity up and watch her. She should be stripping in the next day or so. Who knows? maybe tonight...
If not, it may be time to start thinking about the wet pillowcase or a little soak. Does she have anything to rub against?

Temps are 81 ambiant and 91 hot spot. Humidity is closer to 70% because she is in shed, usually it is 50%-60%. When I saw that she was like this I gave her a nice soak for about 30 mins. I usually don't keep anything to rub up against other then then water bowl but I throw a rough rock in there enclosures when sheeding time comes around. And yes she should be stripping tonight or tommorow according to the shed cycle (figers crossed everything goes well). I really apprecaite the help guys :gj:. I will post an update later tonight. Once again thx for the advice.

    Cheers,

    Jon
