Fasting!

I was just wondering if any of your snakes have gone in the fasting period yet because my 2 bps havent...and if so when they started fasting?

Most of my males that are 1 year or older have fasted for the last couple weeks. We had an early cold spell in WI and that started them off on the fast. I except them to eat about once a month now until spring.

My 07 male started fasting in September of 08! :D

Mine has been fasting for 2 weeks now...I always feel anxious when this happens and generally for no reason at all!

Oh that's interesting because my snakes haven't...I live in southern California it's still a lil bit hot during the day but it's starting to get chilly...so if my snakes start fasting will they reject food for like months or will they eat once a while?...it's my first year with 'em and I don't know what to expect if they fast...

It's my first year too. My 09 lemon pastel male started fasting at 525g, he is eating a mouse once in a while. He used to eat small rats. :tears:

All of mine are still pounding food right now (I've probably just jinxed myself).

Each animal is different on how long they'll fast.

Only one of my males is fasting but I've got 6 females that have been fasting for quite some time. We got some cold fronts early and hasn't been the same since. I have some that haven't eaten in 2 months.

My 08 male fasted the last 3 weeks.
