    hey stupid question but does anyone have any ideas on how to keep my rats from smelling so much?

    Substrate like Equine Pine which is pine pellets, very absorbent and cut down on the smell.

    Can be found at the tractor supply for 6.00 (40 lbs bags).

    A little goes a long way.

    Use it as main substrate when your rats are breeding and in combination with wood shaving for nursing rats with litters under 2 weeks old.

    the only way i've found is to clean them every 3-4 days
