You Might Be Playing A Game Too Much When...
You accidentally call your real life friend by their toon's name instead of their real name while not in game.

I almost called him by his in game name once, but recovered from it! He named his character really close to his RL name.

For the EVE Online addicts
...you are sleeping on a plane and the person next to you hears you say, very clearly, "Scoop your fighters!"
...you e-mail someone that you're going to pod yourself to New York.
...your collaborators notice the odd phrase "charred micro circuit" in the middle of a paragraph in your paper.
...your friends call you by your game name, and not only do you not mind, but you respond every time without hesitation!
(A friend did the first three; several of us do the last one.)
Re: For the EVE Online addicts
My friends kid can hardly remember my real name, so he called me by my in game name. I'm pretty used to it, and respond to both, lol. I guess after you're known by an in game name for 4 years, it almost becomes a kind of nick name.
