    Scales?
...not the kind that cover a BP, but the kind you weigh them on. Are some better than others (or at least better suited for our use). Where can I find a decent one for a resonable price? Responses are much appreciated!

    Thanks,

Target and walmart have some food scales that work well.

I got mine through craigslist, its a postal scale and it goes up to 50 lbs! But weighs in grams also, only cost me $20, so it was dirt cheap. Check your local Craigslist first to make sure no one is just getting rid of a postal or food scale.

there were a few scales on craigslist...I have a few messages out about them. Do you know if most food/dietary scales weigh in grams?

I don't know about all of them but mine does. One word of advice is try to get one with a large surface area. Mine has a pretty small surface and even with a bowl on top it makes it a little more difficult if I'm weighing an excited snake.

I got mine at Target--it was (if my memory serves me correctly) just under $20 and works great.

I got mine at Aldi's for around $15. It weighs up to 11 pounds and does grams. It has a BIG clear bowl which should hold most of my BP's up to around a year old or so, after that it will be easy to use something like a dishpan since the scale has a good size platform where the bowl sits.

Im not sure if you have one in your area, but here in London there is a store called XS Cargo that sells great name brand digital scales for dirt cheap. Here is a link to one that they sell.

I have been searching as well for a good scale, and this is the cheapest/quality scale I have been able to find. Good luck in your search! Cheers!
