    BP eating problem
    Up till last week she was a great eater.
    now she strikes at mouse and either misses the mouse or strikes but does not hold mouse if that makes sense. Will do it several times then will go away like I am not interested anymore. This is something new it started last week when I tried to feed it a small rat and it started this eating problem then but went back to a mouse and still has this new problem.Please help if anyone can.
    Thanks ahead of time:confuzd::confuzd:

    Hi,

    Couple of things to check.

    Could she be going into a shed cycle? Some do not eat then.

    Has anything else changed in the life of the snake? Any changed routines, re-decorated the setup etc?

    What is the routine when feeding? Live or F/T in or out of enclosure etc.

    How often did you offer the food after she refused? Did you just wait until the next scheduled feeding day or offer sooner?

    I offer a couple of more times within a hour and each time would either strike and miss it or would strike but never grabbed mouse I feed live nothing changed It started when I tried to feed a small rat last week and that is whjen this started so I waited a week and tried on normal feeding day and still missing when striking and I am lost for words up till last week had 9 or 10 perfvect feeding periods and even a couple of times ate 2 mice.

    Hi,

    If it is a shed cycle then yes it certainly can - has she shed for you before?
