    Caging ?'s
    Hey all,

I'm gonna be building a custom cage for a male bp i rescued. He is 3 and a half feet long. Would a 4x2x2 enclosure be big enough? I was going to frame with 2x2's and sheet in plywood that will be sealed and stained with insulation between the inside and outside sheets. A glass or acrylic bottom and front door.

My house temps get a bit cool in the winter which is why i'm adding the insulation in. Also i will be adding two vents, one low on the cool side and high on the warm side to keep the air fresh.

    I'd go with 36 x 18 and 18 inches tall or shorter.
Your male ball python won't be getting too much bigger.
A shorter cage will make it easier to regulate humidity and ambient tempertures.
