Blood present after shed

OK, I am wondering if any of you have had this happen, and if so why. I was checking the shed skin of my bp and noticed a little blood around the vent area, then saw more spotting in the cage on the paper. So I checked his vent and there was a tiny bit dried around it. This happened right after he shed, so I wander if a scale was torn, but I could not tell. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is normal, when the skin being shed is pulled from the sensitive vent tissue it can cause bleeding.

Agreed...normal. No worries unless his head spins in circles and shoots out green pea soup. :rolleye2:
