Think She Likes to Eat?

My girl Valentine seemed like she wanted to come out and see me the other night, so I pulled her out and took some pictures. She's an '08 that I received on 14 Feb (hence the name) of this year at ~300g. Nine months later, she's just under 1200g, and has the world's greatest feeding response. I love this girl!

how often does she eat and what does she eat ... i also have a female that is on the small side she eats no problem i just dont want to over feed her cause she will keep going ... how did you maintain her feeding yet have her grow quickly

I bought my pinstripe Petra and Valentine from the same breeder at the same time. Valentine was ~300g, Petra was 250g. Now, Valentine's almost 1200g and Petra's only ~600g. For both of them, I offer rats that are 10-15% of their body weight once every seven days. Valentine's never refused a meal (and watch your fingers, too! :O), and Petra's only refused four times since February. I think it has to be something genetic, that Petra is just more of a late-bloomer than Valentine.

I'm sure your girl will be fine. You can always do a vet checkup to rule out parasites. These are my first BPs, so I don't know how fast they're supposed to grow, but both Petra and Valentine seem perfectly healthy, just at much different sizes. :)
