    Hogg island boa "check list"
    Hey i plan on getting a Hogg island boa around christmas time. i am just a little worried price wise. i plan on getting a 4x2x15(T10 from animalplastics.com)and getting a sub/adult. but could someone please post a "checklist" of items i should have for the Hogg? thanks in advance

    You are going to need the cage, heat, a digital thermostat, a thermometer / hygrometer, big water dish, and substrate. That should keep your Hogg happy and healthy.

    thanks! and do you think i could keep a juvie/subadult in a 4x2x15 even with a ton of hides and plants and stuff?

    My hogs aren't nearly as shy as my bps. That enclosure should be fine for a sub-adult as long you have several hides--with at least one the warm and one on the cool end.

    Agreed. BTW, I do not use any hides for my sub-adult and adult boas. I just put something over the plexiglass on the hot side of the cage to make it a little darker on that side.

    Can't wait till mine get like that. My male still likes his hides during the day. He comes out at night to hang out on the wood in his enclosure. I'm hoping he will stop using the hide in the day also. Love it when he's out. :)
    My female is only one year old and still sticks pretty close to her hides. Though not like my bps!

    thanks guys! and im probably going to get it in august depending on how much $$ i get for christmas haha cuz the cage is 250 and the heating and stuff from 80-100 and the snake i have no idea at all how much they go for. can someone tell me where i can get a good pure hogg for a good price?

    There's a guy in in WI that has an adult female hog island for sale right now for $150.00. I got my baby 2 years ago for $125.00. I've seen them for $100.00-$150.00.
