    Male BPs , on heat??
I have two male BPS, a bumblebee @1 year &4 months, and a normal @2 yrs. In the last 2 weeks both have been showing the same behaviour, coming out at times during the day, climbing the tank/restless behaviour, and both have refused food this week. I'm in the uk , so we are in the fall/autumn over here now

They are housed on different floors of the house. The housing/environment and temps have been the same for months, so nothing has changed there. No signs of starting shed cycle. Is this "On heat" behaviour, are they becoming sexually mature and looking for females? These are my first snakes.

    Many thanks Scott

Hopefully some of the breeders will chime in on this but I know what's on the mind of every other adolescent male in the animal kingdom so I imagine BP's are no different...

I'm no breeder, but as far as I know, its not uncommon for a ball pytons to go off feed during the colder months.

Mine are doing the same thing. Well, most of them. My biggest pastel guy could care less about the female, he's still interested in the rat!!

My other two males are done eating, and want the girl. I'll take that bumble bee if he's too much trouble. LOL! I have a female that would be perfect for him. :)

Haha, yep the bumble is a pretty boy, luckily he has settled down for now, he ate this week,....its just the norm boy, hes still going mad and not interested in eating. He has worked out how to open the sliding glass doors to get out, have to put the lock on now! trouble is now he is rubbing his nose a lot

I havent got any ladies for them, so they will have to do without..like me!!:D

Lol! Well, get them some girls. :) My Mojo is going about every other week. My normal has quit eating all together and spends his days eyeballing the female across the room. My pastel, still doesn't care, he just wants a rat. Lol.

It's great that they have so many different personalities. I could probably be blindfolded and tell each snake from the other by holding them. :)
