2 Rosehairs

The larger one finished a complete molt several months ago. The smaller one has stopped eating so I assume she's due to start a molt. It's been almost 2 months since she ate last so I'm worrying about her, but she is still just as active as when she was eating. I guess she knows what she's doing. I've tried offering about 5 different prey types. She wants none of them.

My first tarantula was a female rose hair and a complete sweet heart. She is still my favorite. I also had a female rose hair rcf and a normal rose hair that was a male. Both of them thought they were obt's - lol. I wouldn't worry too much about the smaller one unless her butt starts to shrink and her but looks good (that sounded kind of creepy). I have a G. pulchra that is about the size of a half dollar that has not eatin in a looooong time. The butt still looks good on him/her so no big deal. I am excited for it to molt though because I think it is a female and I am dying to know. Anyways, beautiful T's :D

Yep, she finally molted the other day. Didn't seem too interested in crickets yet but I'll give her time. Remind me again how to sex from the molted piece?

What is in that dish in the last picture (I think)? O and rosehairs are crazy when they want to eat and when they don't. As long as her rump is nice and full looking don't worry really.

I think she keeps crix in with her tarantulas at all times and puts that in there for the crix to eat?

No offense, but keeping crix in there full time is a bad idea. They can bite the tarantula and cause serious injuries. It sounds kinda funny, but it happens. Also if it were to decide to molt there are serious risks there.

i would not worry about the rose not eating. my rosie goes for several months with out eating. it is normal for them. it will cause them no harm, just make sure they have fresh water avvaible at all times.
