A breeder won't usually sell their hatchlings until they have shed and eaten... You might see if you can get him to get them started unles you have experiance starting off BP hatchlings. I'd be careful getting them for free just out of the egg... they may not all eat for you.

I haven't had any hatchlings so I don't know about the set-up, I just thought it was a bit strange to sell them right out of the egg like that.

Wow.... wasn't expecting that. In that case take them, give them a good home, and personally, I'd never deal with the guy again.

If you browse the breeding section, or even the husbandry section you should be able to find some threads on setting up a hatchling. If I remember correctly there are a few of the bigger breeders that have how they set up their hatchings on their websites. You could also email some of the people that have been in the business for a long time.

What the? Who is this person so that I may avoid buying any ball pythons from him/her in the future? Please tell me that it's very, very unusual for a breeder to do this! :(

That is the worst thing I have ever herd of. Killing them just because they are not a morph.

I was at his place last night and it stunk and was kinda a run down looking set up. Do I need to worry the BP will have any truble mites or what not being just out of the egg?

I don't think you would have a problem with mites straight out of the egg.
