    What to use for hides
What are some good household items to use for hides? Everything that I find is too small.

You can buy the half sized cat litter pans at wallmart for a little over a dollar. They work great for the first couple years of the snakes life.

At the dollar store they have plastic bowls all sizes that are semi hard to cut with a blade but if you have a soldering iron you should b good. All under $2 bucks, you kant beat dat wit a stick dawg. Not an item u find at ur house thou.

He has hides right now that he fits into, but they are very tight. Should I upgrade. And can the hides be clear.

Clear hides won't make a bp feel very secure. Every snake is a little different, I tried to upgrade my hide sizes for my largest girl and she prefers to wear her smaller hide like a hat or squeeze in under the newspaper in her tub. I'd say give a larger one a try but keep the smaller one on hand for awhile. Remember a snug hide is what they prefer ;)
