    Disinfecting
What should I use to disinfect my bp tank and the hides?

Diluted chlorhexidine. Works like a charm and safe for your snakes.

You can also soak in a 5% bleach solution, but be sure to wash out very well with water afterwards. Residual bleach is bad news for a snake's respiratory system.

So if I just disinfected the tank with like a two to five percent soloution and then scrubbed the tank down with just water very well I would be ok? I really don't want to buy something
