    Food/Cooks Thread
There have been a few food threads up lately and I thought I would make one to see who all likes to actually cook & eat good food and what their favorites to make & eat are?

Personally, I'm planning on opening a brewpub, so I can always have good beer and good food since I'll be in charge of both. So I love to cook and eat.

I just made some brats with curry ketchup & chopped onions on a sub roll, but my favorite to cook & eat is fresh blackened grouper with a shrimp & scallop cream sauce served with just about anything.

    What say you?

    I r a foodie--

I love eggs (which is probably why my cholesterol is through the roof), steamed eggs, egg salad, poached eggs, eggs benedict, eggseggseggseggseggs~~!

I found out recently a single egg has 65% of the daily recommended value of cholesterol. D=

I'm big on steamed eggs which is really simple to make: in a bowl, whisk 1 grade a extra large egg with 3/4ths cup of water (and keep to this ratio) stick in a rice cooker or a steamer and steam until firm. Soy sauce it, rice, and that's all I need in a meal.

    And my almost-mayo-less egg salad:
The mayo basically binds the egg together so it's clumpy, but it's unnecessary if you leave the yolk a little runny (my perfect boiled egg is put the egg in cold water, bring to boil, wait 2 minutes, turn flame off, let it sit for 7-10 minutes) half a tablespoon of mayo (you won't even notice there's only a little) salt to taste, pepper to taste, curry powder (optional) diced cucumber (optional)

I really dislike celery so I never put any in.

I love to cook, but am still pretty amateur at it. I don't do things from scratch, but I have on occasion. Most of the time my favorite meal to cook would have to be some sort of marinated and grilled chicken, pasta, and artichokes. In this house, we could eat artichokes all day.

Love to cook, and forever trying new things.

Sounds mundane, but people fight over my beef stew.

well I majored in culinary arts in college.. and was a sous chef in two kitchens. My favorite dish to make is a roasted garlic and rosemary Cornish game Hen, served with a garlic white wine sauce.

Of course I did Pork-chops stuffed with a Dried Cherry and Walnut Cornbread stuffing.

I love cooking! I'm more of an amateur cook, but I love making unusual recipes out of ordinary dishes.:hungry:

I could definitely stand some new knives & new cookware as far as pots & pans go, but until I get out of school it looks like I'm going to be using the family dollar $10 for 4 pans.
