Missing prey striking inside of hide
So when I was feeding my BP today, he tried striking the mouse from inside his hide. Yet he struck the side of his hide (on the inside) never even leaving his hide. Is this common? I thought BPs were pretty accurate when striking? Is mine just a little special?
Re: Missing prey striking inside of hide
maybe he was not really hungry, or got unsure of the strike an backed off. is this the first time its happened? i mean we all mis our mouth when eating atleast once in our lives. lets not put your snake on the short bus just yet lol

He eventuallystuck his head out of his hide and got the prey. It is the first time its happened. That is a good point, we do miss our mouths, lol, maybe i was giving BPs too much credit at the go haha

Oh geez....mine is a total short busser. He misses all the time and yesterday he missed and thought he had it and did the curl and was squeezing....eventually we had to take him out and show him the only thing he had was himself..... So finally he started over and got it. Now once he gets it....its all over...huge eater and does it quickly!!!

My normal girl gets really excited when it is feeding time and just like waves her head around with her mouth open hoping to grab onto something.
Its pretty hilarious. A miss every now and then is not uncommon.
