    Nerissa post-shed
Well, you were all right about my new arrival Nerissa, as she shed her skin tonight. :gj: I was going to leave her alone for the full week, but of course she also peed during the shed, so I had to do a tub cleaning. She was really calm when I took her out, and actually "cuddled" on my shoulder for a while. Definitely not an aggressive or shy gal! Anyway, here are some post-shed pictures as promised... I'm really digging her light coloring, especially around the head.

Thanks! :) I'm thrilled with how she looks now, and think she'll be perfect for my pastel... she almost looks like a (browned-out) pastel herself, huh? And yes, she is a very healthy size - around 1900g according to the breeder, but I haven't weighed her myself. She's also shorter than my other large girl, who weighs ~2000g, so she's a bit of a porker. :D

FYI, I'm trying shredded paper (for security), since she was only sleeping on top of the hide... and I don't have another one large enough!

LOL... yeah, I'm planning to breed her with my pastel, once she's done with quarantine. And next year I'm thinking she'll go with my Mojave, since her light coloring will compliment his nicely. :)

Btw, she is a goofy girl! After trying the litter pan hide, rock cave and shredded paper, I finally discovered what makes her happy... an upside-down litter pan hide. :weirdface I flipped it over and put in some shredded paper, so it's almost like a lay-box, and she's been comfortably resting in it all day. Before that she was acting agitated, trying to escape and squishing herself in the weirdest positions - guess every snake has their preferences, and I just had to figure out what hers was.
