I recently rescued two mice from a lady up north of me who decided they were just too much work for her to keep up with. They are cute little devils with long, silky hair.....something I've never seen in mice. The "cage" I brought them home in was a contraption just waiting to fall apart, so I decided to move them in with my other three mice. Both are female, so I knew it wouldn't be too much of a problem.
So, anyway, I went to pick up the tan/gold colored one to transfer it to the mouse tank and the little sucker bit me. And bit me good, too. *Mutters* The other one is white with brownish spots.....extremely skittish and refused to let me pick her up. She didn't bite me, but she did everything else in her power to get me to let her go.
In all my years of raising mice and rats, I have never had a single one bite me like that, or act as if I was totally evil incarnate. >.< I got to looking at them the other day and noticed that they are a tiny bit bigger than my other three mice. I don't have pictures currently (but will get some if needed), but I began to wonder if these "mice" could actually be ASFs? Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated. :)
