Is it bad to feed drowned rodents?
I had a tub in my rat rack fill up with water and all of them drowned.I was wondering if you can freeze and feed or just feed rats that have died recently from a flood or if they are too full of water. I had about 8 chubs die along with their mother due to a flood. I want to save them and feed them, but I don't know if I can. Anyone got any ideas? They just died about 4-5 hours ago.

Well, freezing them might pose a problem later on when you go to defrost them, since the water in their lungs will freeze into ice. Therefore, defrosting them might take a bit longer than the normal. Also, I don't think it would be very healthy for a snake to eat something with ice in it, so you would need to be 100% certain that they are fully defrosted. As far as feeding them to your snake now (without freezing), I can't see that would be a problem. The water in their lungs will be absorbed the same way it would if they had drank the water from a bowl. ;)

they'll be fine to feed...but I wouldn't freeze them to feed later...
water in their lungs will infest with bacteria ...you don't want that.
