She ate!!
Well, Serena had her first rat under our care. She struck it no problem, had to feed live (yuck). She is as of right now working on getting it down in her belly.
Just thought it was great that she ate here in her new home!

Re: She ate!!
Well, I spoke to soon. She struck and killed, but I think he was a little to big for her. So, we are trying round 2 today with a smaller rat. HOpefully she will eat. On a lighter note, Omar, my corn, shed. Complete shed, one piece, very impressive. :gj::snake:

Re: She ate!!
Some of my guys will strike and consume the prey a little later.Some get a little spooked if i stand there and watch as well. I go slightly smaller than the widest part of the snake. With that rule of thumb you should be ok.

Re: She ate!!
Hubby just fed her a smaller rat. She ate no problem. She is going to be one happy snake now. Hopefully a shed will come soon with it.
Way to go Serena!:gj::snake:

Re: She ate!!
No, she never got the first one down. She stopped because it was to big for her to eat (we got the wrong sized rat). Ate today's no problem. Now we know what size rat to get her, and when to feed her (we just got her a week or so ago). First feeding with us, I am really proud of her :D
