Re: High ambient humidity
I live in FL close by the beach, I actualy got the humidity down. The tubs have like 200 holes though... also using small water bowls helps alot. Im using 4" atm, they are very small. Maybe Ill try 5 sometime and see how that goes.
Re: High ambient humidity
65% to 70% humidity is great for BP's. I run about 70% all the time. Just be sure to keep things clean.
Re: High ambient humidity
Oh, and you will not have to mist at 70% humidity. You will love sheds at this humidity, and so will your snakes!

Same here, 65% to 70% full time.
Re: High ambient humidity
I also keep my snakes around 70%. They seem to love it. All of my snakes shed in one whole piece also. I haven't seemed to run into a problem yet.
Re: High ambient humidity
I dont have any holes in my tubs and my humidity was on the low end for me. I just got some new additions and a couple of them had dented eyes so i needed to spray my bedding in the tubs a little to raise the humidity. Then again im way north and its already pretty dry here.
Im considering getting a large humidifyer for my home in the winter. Its just too hard to keep it at a good level.
Your humidity levels are good. I wouldnt start worrying about it unless it gets above that for an extended period of time.
I made the mistake of switching my pastel male to a tank and the combo of low humidity and having a hard time keeping temps right, he got a RI. Its better to have slightly higher humidity than to have it too low.

I live in the Valley of Cali (I'm a poet, don't you know it!) and I have a constant humidity of 60%-65%, and I can't get it any lower than that. Along with the recent rain that we've gotten it spiked up to 70%. I'm sure you experienced that too!
